In April, our President, Ahmed Osaa became a Canadian. His decade-long journey to find a safe home has ended. Since arriving in Winnipeg in 2016, Ahmed has found fulfilling, permanent work as an essential worker in the transportation industry, has founded a non-profit organization, and has volunteered his time to help others from West Africa to settle in Winnipeg. Ahmed enjoys country music, cooking traditional Ghanain foods, and streamlining processes to achieve efficiency.
If you are interested in hearing about Ahmed’s journey, including his challenges and successes with settling in Winnipeg, contact Laurel (lmartin@callforhope.ca) to discuss presentation options.
